Bow - Pacheon - Strength Build

1. 1. Characteristics of Bow:

Main Role: Killer, Support. With the advantage of long-range attacks, a strength-focused bow character (Bow STR) is usually the initiator of battles. The first arrow fired can be seen as a signal for teammates to focus on a specific target from the opponent's side. With a wide field of view, a bow character can observe the entire battle to either focus on opponents or support teammates with available Disable skills. Due to their extensive range, bow characters play a crucial role similar to a battle strategist, directing both offense and defense. Unlike the Glaive, the most important attribute for a Bow STR is physical damage and physical increase, as some skills already have a very high critical hit rate.

• Strengths: Very long attack range, highest critical hit rate in Silkroad, fast farming and leveling, many Disable skills such as stun and knockback. These Disables can be used continuously to prevent opponents from closing in. Often, it can defeat bosses of equal or higher level.
• Weaknesses: Damage is only average, and it struggles when opponents get close due to weak defense. Therefore, when opponents close in, use knockback to push them away.

2. Common Bow Builds:

B1. Bow + Ice + Fire:

• General Introduction: This build is oriented towards 1 vs 1 PvP because, in battles, a bow character often stands outside the main fight to attack opponents rather than facing them directly. Like other Cold + Fire builds, this setup provides excellent defense for the bow. Although it moves slowly, the long attack range means it doesn’t need to move much, so farming and leveling speed is not significantly affected. It can fulfill all three roles: Tanker, Support, and Killer.
• Strengths: Relatively good defense. Capable of facing all characters in Silkroad in any battle due to high survivability. It is annoying for other characters to PvP against due to continuous knockback or stun, allowing for healing time. Very suitable for harassing slow, melee characters.
• Weaknesses: Damage is only average; if not equipped with good weapons, farming and leveling can be relatively slow despite the long attack range.

B2. Bow + Lightning + Fire:

• General Introduction: This is the most common build for Bow STR today. It allows for fast farming and leveling. The principle of this build is: since the character rarely gets hit in battle, there is no need for defense, only offense. If attacked, use Disable skills or take advantage of the mobility from the Lightning tree to retreat and maintain the long-range advantage. This character often annoys other characters due to the ability to continuously knockback (interrupting the opponent's skills and pushing them away). It plays the roles of Killer and Support in battle.
• Strengths: Significantly higher damage compared to Bow + Cold + Fire builds because the bow is an intermediate weapon with minimal difference between physical and magical damage. Increasing magical damage by 18% or more from the Lightning tree significantly boosts the damage output of this build. This build greatly enhances the role of Killer in battle.
• Weaknesses: Weak defense and often disadvantaged when opponents close in. If unable to timely knockback, stun, or get support, the character may "return to the city to drink water" (be killed). Often disliked by opponents for standing at a distance, critting, stunning, and knocking back. Therefore, caution is needed as opponents can close in at any time.
